Surgical instruments are sterilized and stored in a container, and set assem bly is conducted at sterilization center. Optimization of instrument constan t is required because the composition of the surgical set is determined by d iscretion of medical staff. In this study, in order to realize quantitative c ontainer set optimization, we quantitatively evaluate a usage rate using sur gical instruments with RFID tags. As a method, used / unused surgical instru ments were classified in operating room and registered in the management sys tem at sterilization center. As a result, the total usage rate of surgical in struments in 74 operations was 65%. Based on this result, the composition wa s reviewed by doctors and nurses, and the number of surgical instruments was reduced by 11, and the excluded surgical instruments (5 types) were package d as each single package. After the review, only 3 types of the prepared sin gle packaging equipment were used. |
