Summary | Abstract: For pre-clinical study of the hybrid marker, we fabricated a phantom made of an acrylic resin and a
contrast agent for MRI. Two hundred holes were drilled in the acrylic resin plate. Distance between two holes was 20 mm. Each hole was filled with 170 micro litters of the contrast agent. We took MRI images of phantom for clarification of adequate space for setting the hybrid markers. Imaging sequence was the same as that during neurosurgery. Slice thickness was 1 mm. As a result, image distortion was observed when the hole was located at more than 40 mm far from the center of MRI gantry. It was shown that measured error was less than 1mm in adequate space. The space was located 40 mm above from the center of MRI gantry, and 120 mm from the receiver coil for MRI. |
