Summary	In this paper, we observed the elderly people's reaction to the smart robot functions for interacting with people. We implemented two functions as the interacting functions: turning robot's face towards a human face that appeared robot's camera and having a conversation with a person who talking to the robot. To understand the elderly people’s reaction, we observed interaction between elderly people and the smart robot in the geriatric health services facility Yuu. As a result, it was happened that the human face was not recognized while the robot’s face moving, so the robot’s face go through the human face direction. And it was difficult to have a conversation with elderly people because of their cognitive and physical function was decline.
