概要 | Purpose
Vortex veins might be located in the posterior pole part for the high myopia, but this had difficulty in proof without indocyanine green angiography. We usually photograph Ultra-widefield Fundas Imaging (Optos California, Optos) using a red-green wavelength, but also can photograph it using only a red wavelength. We report that observation of the choroidal blood vessels structure of the high myopia and vortex veins using Red Separation View of Optos. Methods We included in this study 53 eyes of 29 patients with high myopia (spherical equivalent of refractive error ≥ 8.00 diopters or axis length ≥ 26.5mm, 12 men, 17 women, average of 47.6 years old). We take all cases with Ultra-widefield Fundas Imaging (Optos California, Optos). Also, we observed 36 eyes of 19 patients (spherical equivalent of refractive error ≤±2.00 diopters, 8 men, 11 women, average of 50.3 years old) that fundas don’t have abnormality as the control group. Results The mean spherical equivalent of refractive error of the high myopia group and the control group is -12.4D and -0.73D (the intraocular lens eyes are excluded), respectively. The choroidal blood vessels were observable with 50 eyes (94.3%) in the high myopia group except 3 eyes of the macula area strong atrophy, but choroidal blood vessels were not observable with 18 eyes (50%) clearly in posterior pole part in the control group. The vortex veins of the posterior pole part were found in 8 eyes (16.0%) in the high myopia group and were not found in the control group. Conclusion Using Red Separation View of Optos could visualize choroidal blood vessels of the high myopia and prove the presence of vortex veins at the posterior pole part. Optos is useful to evaluate choroidal blood vessels structure of the high myopia noninvasively |
