| 概要 | Serum albumin and renal function play an important role in maintaining physiological homeostasis. The aim of this study is to evaluate the association between blood urea nitrogen to albumin (B/A) ratio before cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) implantation and mortality. We studied 391 patients who implanted CRT between 2002 to 2014. During 32 months of follow-up, 117 (30%) patients died from any cause. There was a significantly higher B/A ratio in dead patients than survived (p<0.05). 63% of CRT patients had decreased left ventricular end-systolic volume (LVESV) more than 15% after 6 months of CRT (responders). By cox regression analysis, independent risks for mortality were non-responder and high value of B/A ratio (Table). Our results suggested that B/A ratio is an independent predictor of mortality in HF patients treated by CRT. |
