概要 | Background: Intravenous amiodarone has been used to terminate and prevent ventricular tachycardia (VT) or fibrillation (VF) including incessant and shock-resistance form. The aim of this study is to evaluate risk factors for survival to hospital discharge after intravenous amiodarone on sustained VT/VF in heart failure (HF) patients. Methods: We examined 38 HF patients with sustained VT/VF or electrical storm (ES) (32 men, age 66±16 years) who were treated with intravenous amiodarone. Results: Amiodarone was effective to terminate sustained VT/VF in 17 of 27 patients, and was effective to inhibit ES in 10 of 11 patients. Baseline C-reactive protein level was an independently associated with survival to hospital discharge (Table). Conclusion: In HF patients with treated with intravenous amiodarone, inflammation may be associated with survival to hospital discharge. |
