Summary | Recent advances in stem cell technologies and tissue engineering are enabling the fabrication of dynamically beating cardiac tissues from human induced pluripotent stem cells. These engineered human cardiac tissues are expected to be used for cardiac regenerative therapies, in vitro drug testing, and pathological investigations. Here we describe the method to fabricate engineered cardiac tissues from human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes and to measure the contractile force. |
