概要 | Many surgical robots have been investigated recently. To create safe and effective control systems for surgical robots, intraoperative biological information is required. However, this information is limited, making it difficult to predict accurate biological responses. If patient-specific models are constructed by combining multidisciplinary computational anatomy with intraoperative biological information, the robots could be controlled by accurately predicting biological responses to the surgery. This approach would imply the realization of safer and more sophisticated treatments. This formed the background for the proposed highly intelligent surgical robot that can approach a surgical area using multidisciplinary computational anatomy and limited intraoperative biological information. In this chapter, we will present about our research activities based on this idea. We will present about (i) study on stapler device control for pancreatic tissue damage suppression, and (ii) navigation and robotic system for oral and maxillofacial surgery. |
