| Summary | OBJECTIVE:To clarify pathophysiological characteristics of Ménière's disease during the remission phase.PATIENTS:Two Ménière's disease patients with different disease durations, whose endolymphatic hydrops was longitudinally observed using 3-T magnetic resonance imaging.INTERVENTIONS:Diagnostic.MAIN OUTCOMES AND MEASURES:Morphological changes of endolymphatic hydrops visualized using 3-T magnetic resonance imaging.RESULTS:Rupture-like shrinkage and regrowth of endolymphatic hydrops during the remission phase was observed in both patients.CONCLUSION:The remission phase with hearing improvement could be as important as vertigo attacks in Ménière's disease. |
