Summary	This report describes the clinico-pathological features of a group of 36 patients with malignant lymphoma of the central nervous system (CNS) who were treated at one institution between 1970 and 1993. All cases were B cell type lymphomas. The authors summarize the most salient findings with respect to clinical course, pathology, treatment and disease outcome, and emphasize the value of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in the management of patients with primary CNS lymphoma.
