Summary High‐density silicate sheets made up of five‐membered rings with Me4NOH molecules and K+ ions in the porelike interlayer space: This is the structure of the silicate PLS‐1. When PLS‐1 (left picture) was heated above 673 K under vacuum, the novel zeolite CDS‐1 (right picture) was obtained as the result of topotactic dehydration–condensation reactions. CDS‐1 is a pure silicate and thermally stable, and should therefore find a range of industrial uses.
