Summary 'Dropped head syndrome' (DHS) is characterized by severe weakness of the muscles of the back of the neck, resulting in chin-on-chest deformity. Dropped head syndrome induced by radiotherapy is very rare. We report a case of DHS following chemoradiotherapy with a total of 64.8 Gy in 36 fractions for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
