Summary	Abstract: In this paper, the trial of data import from the diagnostic data to the robotic laser ablation system for neurosurgery is described. We have already developed the robotic laser system aiming to apply to do the surgery for the malignant brain tumors. In our previous system,the target area for the laser ablation is determined by drawing the outline for the laser scanning on the monitor screen with the computer mouse. The new system has the function of importing the volume data from the diagnostic image data server to the computer in this system. The system can make the target location onthe brain surface from the imported volume data and display the outline for the laser scanning in the CCD captured image
